Hotel Molino Garden is absolutely beautiful. With its authentic Moroccan vibe, colour and quirk, Molino is a jewel, perfectly placed in the heart of the breathtakingly blue Old City of Chefchaouen. Conveniently located to simply step out into the city to explore. Overlooking the garden, my charming room was a haven, from which I could hear the early morning ‘call to prayer’ echoing from the many mosques throughout the city. Beautifully maintained and clean with lovely staff that peacefully worked to keep it so. The breakfast out in the garden freshly made and sourced from local suppliers - a great start to the day. My trip to Chefchaouen would not have been nearly as wonderful if it wasn’t for Yassin, who works tirelessly to ensure guests are looked after. I feel that all of the staff were great at doing so, but for me Yassin seemed to go above and beyond. Born in the blue city he is a true local. During his time off he became my guide. He went to such effort to make me feel welcome and proudly showed me through his beautiful hometown. Taking me down to the weekly locals’ food market where we sat on crates whilst eating delicious fish and potato in bread with the locals. Taking the hard work out of it for me, he organised a driver and we went to The God’s Bridge to hike and swim in the waterfalls - a must! As a solo traveller, I am never in my photos. Yassin discretely took great photos and videos of all that we did. I now have beautiful memories of me actually being in all the beautiful places we went to! Being introduced to Yassin’s family made my time extra special with his lovely mother cooking and teaching me the Moroccan way around the kitchen. I cannot recommend a stay at Hotel Molino Garden enough. My stay was for three nights but I extended to four as I found it difficult to leave. A great little place with amzing staff like Yassin, who show true Moroccan warmth, kindness and great hospitality. Thank you! x

1. Excellent Location From the CTM bus station, a 20-dirham taxi ride takes just 10 minutes to reach the hotel area. It’s close to the high point of the Blue Town, Bouzafer Mosque. The hike up the hill only takes 20 minutes, offering a panoramic view of the town’s sunrise and sunset — like Morocco’s own Greek village. 2. Friendly and Kind Staff Last night, I accidentally broke a piece of glass from a window that wasn’t properly secured in its frame. Staff member Yassin quickly arrived, asking, “Are you alright?” After understanding the situation, he quietly cleaned up the broken glass and didn’t charge the 200-dirham fee for the damage. Thank you, Yassin. 3. Beautiful, Quiet, and Unique Garden Restaurant The hotel’s garden restaurant is serene and charming, with goldfish in the pond, creating a tranquil atmosphere reminiscent of a traditional Chinese garden by the flowing water.

Lovely house, not many rooms so didn't feel like a hotel, more like a guest house. Central areas to sit and rooftop with views. Restaurant has lovely views onto the beautiful garden. Moroccan breakfast was 40 DH (coffee, OJ, omelette, bread, olives, cheese, jam and honey), could pay via CC at restaurant and hotel which is rare in Morocco. We had wonderful views from our room. Room small but quirky and would definitely stay again. Even had a separate shower cubicle. Friendly staff who were happy to help if needed anything including extra toilet roll, blanket and hairdryer. Fantastic location. Quiet street, not far from where arrive in taxi (only few steps but that's not many for Chefchaouen), and not far from peaceful river and main shopping streets.

Central location. It is right in the middle of Medina. You are already at the places that you will visit. Staff - they welcomed us and helped with carrying luggages upstairs. They accommodated all our needs (baby cot etc.) at a short notice. Reception is available 7/24, we arrived very late but they did not make it a problem. Room was cold but possible to heat with aircon. Breakfast was not included but they served a very very delicious local breakfast at an affordable price (45 MAD per person) at the hotel’s restaurant (called Cielo Restaurant). Last but not least, hotel building is one of the most beautiful & authentic buildings within Chefchaouen, you will see tourists making the photo of the building all day long.

It was our first time in the magical Chefchaouene, and we couldn't have been happier. Hotel Molino Garden was a dream to stay in. Being right at the edge of the Medina, it was super convenient to bring our luggage to the hotel on the stairs up. The place was equally relaxing and stunning accompanied with a gorgeous garden. We felt so comfortable that we often didn't want to leave for a walk outside. Yassin and his team were utmost helpful with all matters inside the hotel, as well as advising on sightseeing within Chefchaouene. We ended up extending our trip from 3 days to 5. We're already looking forward to going back as it has to be one of the most beautiful and soul-affirming places on earth.
